Vintage Baroque South Sea Pearl Necklace
A stunning strand of creamy white, slightly graduated, baroque South Sea pearls with two 9ct rose gold dog clips or swivels.
There really is something special about South Sea pearls, the lustre and iridescence on each of these pearls is just gorgeous. The pearls are all a creamy white with some minor natural surface imperfections. They are slightly graduated from the clasp and are of an irregular baroque shape, this gives the necklace a gorgeous casual chicness that round pearls just don't have.
She could be worn with the largest pearl at the front or with the dog clips at the front. The dog clips are hallmarked for 9ct gold. I love having dog clip clasps on pearls as they match beautifully with Albert watch chains and it is so easy to add pendants to them.
This is a vintage necklace and is in very good vintage condition, I have had her restrung on double thickness silk with double hand knotting between each pearl. She is a stunner and is ready to be worn everyday.
She comes with an independent professional valuation for $23,000. I have priced her very reasonably, because I bought her at auction for a good price. If you have been looking for a beautiful string of baroque South Seas at a good price, this is them.
