Edwardian 3.0 carat Diamond Five Stone Ring in Platinum
Magnificent, handmade, antique Edwardian three carat old European cut diamond five stone ring in platinum.
The holy grail of five stone rings! This absolutely stunning antique ring, has 3.00 carats of the most amazing European cut diamonds, the sparkle is breath taking. They face up nice and white and there are no eye visible inclusions. Each diamond is basket set in platinum, with double claws sweeping down to a plain band.
She was purchased at auction in the UK and is English made. She is in excellent antique condition. I have had her claws retipped and my jeweller has done an excellent job doing this without making them look too bulky. The band shows no signs of thinning, and is actually nice and thick for an antique ring.
All five diamonds are old European cut, cut by hand over 100 years ago. They are spectacular and sparkle beautifully. The centre diamond is approximately 1.18ct. The diamonds face up white and are estimated to be G/H colour, they are included as most old cut diamonds are, but this can only be seen under magnification and is definitely not noticeable given their colour and cut.
She comes with an independent replacement valuation for $39,000 to have her remade.
This classic style of ring just doesn't go out of fashion, this is a beautiful and very special ring in excellent antique condition. She would make a gorgeous and very substantial engagement ring, or an anniversary ring or special birthday present. A stunning heirloom piece.
