Antique Pearl and Diamond Halo Ring in 18 carat Rose and Yellow Gold
A very beautiful antique, hand made 18 carat rose and yellow gold ring with a beautiful pearl surrounded by 2.50 carats of European cut diamonds.
This gorgeous ring was handmade in 18ct gold. The setting looks to be rose gold while the band is yellow. At her centre is a lovely, slightly elongated pearl surrounded by the most impressive halo of ten European cut diamonds, adding up to an impressive 2.50 carats. They range in colour from I to P, and this slightly warm tint works beautifully with the rose gold setting. Given their size and cut they give that wonderful cushiony look that only antique diamonds can. Some of the diamonds are included however this can only be seen under magnification.
The setting is a bit of an unusual one, she looks like she is a conversion piece, starting life as something other than a ring, but given her size it is unlikely that she was a stickpin however she may of been a component of a larger piece such as a brooch. Or she may of always been a ring and has had her band replaced. I wish I knew! I did originally purchase her with the plan to convert her into a pendant, which is still an option, if you would like to explore this please contact Kim for a price.
She is in excellent antique condition. She has the most delicate setting, her claws were a bit worn so I have had them laser re-tipped by Kalmar Antiques in Sydney and they look as good as new.
She comes with an independent replacement valuation from Kalmar Antiques of Sydney for $13,200 to buy a similar antique ring.
A true heirloom piece, this is one that the kids (and grandkids) will be fighting over. She would make the most amazing engagement ring or right hand ring. Stand back and wait for the compliments on this one. A very special wear everyday ring.
