1912 Edwardian Rose Gold Trombone Link Albert Watch Chain with Fob
A very special Antique Edwardian trombone link double Albert watch chain in solid 9ct rose gold, with a fob, and two dogclips.
A beautiful and very desirable chain, these are getting harder and harder to find, especially ones of a wearable length. This one is 410mm long, the perfect length to layer with your other necklaces and gives a bit of detail and difference with its trombone links.
This antique Albert chain is in excellent antique condition, with hardly any wear. She is a gorgeous rosy gold colour, that only 100 year old gold can be. Every single one of her links is hallmarked for 9 carat gold. She has two dogclips, one is original to the chain and the other I have had my jeweller attach to give her a little bit more length. Both are in good condition, work perfectly and are very secure.
On the fob, there is a maker's mark, for James William Benson of Ludgate Hill London. One long link also has the Chester hallmark and a "M" for the year 1911, which is where and when it was assayed to determine it was 9ct gold.
A true investment piece, this necklace is in excellent antique condition. If you are looking for a 9 carat rose gold trombone Albert, you won't find better than this one. A beautiful, versatile and increasingly rare necklace, at a hard to find length. The perfect wear everyday piece.
The spinning fob that is currently for sale is by the same maker and they look stunning together.
