1907 9 carat Rose Gold Double Sided Watch Medal
The most stunning 9 carat rose gold watch medal with a raised cartouche on both sides, and gorgeous hand chased engraving to the front, assayed in 1907.
This very special medal is hallmarked for James Walter Tiptaft of Northampton Street, Birmingham, England it was assayed as 9ct gold in Birmingham in 1907. I love when I get any piece from Tiptaft, they are always beautiful and this one is no exception. This medal has been cherished and is in excellent antique condition.
On the front there is a beautiful hand engraved monogram of "JJJ" or possibly "JSJ" it is on a central raised cartouche which is surrounded by the most amazing hand engraved foliage and flourishes. On the back is "A&H F.C" on another raised cartouche.
It is in excellent condition and has been polished up and is ready to attach to your watch chain or other necklace. A gorgeous and very nice to wear medal.

Dimensions: 41mm diameter (with bale), 24.5mm wide and 4.2mm deep.
Hallmarks: "J.W.T", an anchor for birmingham, "9 375" for 9 ct gold and a "h" for 1907.
