Victorian Jasper Compass Pendant
An incredibly beautiful and unique Victorian working compass fob encased in a jasper stone.
Originally a watch fob, this is a beautiful piece of Jasper with a glass fronted compass in the centre, with a silver bale and jump ring. The compass appears to work, although I would suggest you don't utilise her for your next orienteering adventure.
Jasper is a fine grained variety of chalcedony, which is a form of quartz, known for its vibrant colours and intricate patterns. This piece is a rich dark brown with black spots, which together look a bit like leopard print.
Compasses are such meaningful pieces, symbols of direction and travel, what an amazing signature piece. She comes with a silver Pandora connector, so you can easily clip her to your chains.
She is in good antique condition, she has a nibble to the stone on the back, which is not noticeable when worn. An amazing unique piece of jewellery.
