Antique Seed Pearl and diamond 15 carat Toi et Moi Ring
A stunning antique seed pearl and old cut diamond toi et moi ring with a 15 carat rose gold band
"Toi et Moi" is French for "You and Me". Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to Joséphine Beauharnais with a Toi et Moi ring in 1796. The ring has two seed pearl "domes" with an old cut diamond in the centre of each and a beautiful solid rose gold band. The diamonds have excellent colour and are gorgeous and sparkly. The setting and band are 15 carat rose gold.
The ring is English and beautifully made, the seed pearls graduate in size from the base of each dome to the top, she is in very good antique condition and the band is nice and thick, all stones have been checked and are secure. The pearls are actually claw set, which is very unusual, and may have contributed to her aging so well. A few of the pearls look like they may have been replaced, some glue is visible under magnification, but definitely can't be seen with the naked eye.
This is a very unique and beautiful piece. It makes the most beautiful pinky ring, but can be resized.
