Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond Five Stone Ring in 18ct White Gold
A very impressive antique Edwardian 18ct white gold five stone ring. Set with three dark blue sapphires and two beautiful old cut diamonds.
A beautifully proportioned ring with hand cut diamonds and sapphires. The centre sapphire is 0.55ct and she is an oval shape but most likely cushion cut, with two 0.33ct cushion cut sapphires on each end, all three are a very dark navy blue colour. In between the sapphires are two old mine cut diamonds of 0.32ct each, they are lovely and sparkly with no visible inclusions. All the stones are claw set in 18ct white gold with a substantial shaft.
The setting is in excellent condition, so good that I originally thought she was a vintage ring and not an antique one. I have had my jeweller retip the claws and she is ready to wear and enjoy everyday. She has a partial maker's mark and is stamped for 18ct. the stones show some signs of wear commensurate with age, this is only seen under magnification and doesn't detract from her beauty in any way.
This would make a gorgeous and substantial engagement ring, but also an anniversary ring or special birthday present. Her setting makes her easy to stack with bands either side.
Ring is sizable, she comes with an independent replacement valuation for $10,550.
