1902 Victorian Rose Gold Gate Bracelet with Padlock Clasp
Beautiful antique Victorian 9ct rose gold gate bracelet with padlock clasp.
A gorgeous rose gold gate bracelet, she has decorative panel links which are secured on the wrist by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp, complete with full hallmarks. Heart padlocks were often gifted as a symbol of love or given to loved ones before long periods of separation as a reminder of the giver's love.
The padlock is a nice size and closes very securely, it is hallmarked for one of my favourite jewellers, Charles Daniel Broughton, of St Paul's Square, Birmingham UK. It was assayed as 9 carat gold in 1902 in Birmingham.
She is a nice substantial weight and a good length and is in very good antique condition. A very beautiful wear every day bracelet.
