Victorian 1901 Sterling Silver Graduated Curb Link Albert Chain with Tasseled Albertina
This is a beautiful, antique graduated curb link sterling silver Albert chain. Because of its relatively short length I have combined it with a very special heart and tassle Albertina, which could be worn on its own as a bracelet.
Every link on this beautifully graduated Albert chain is hallmarked for sterling silver, the t-bar and the chain are hallmarked for Edwin Page of Hylton Street, Birmingham, UK and 1901. The Albertina is a pretty one with a gorgeous repousse ball in the centre a t-bar with twist detailing and a stunning repousse heart tassle, it doesn't get any better than that! I have added a dogclip to make it easier to take the Albertina off and wear her as a bracelet. All dogclips are hallmarked.
I have also added a really lovely sterling silver watch medal. She is hallmarked for James Walter Tiptaft of Northampton Street, Birmingham, UK and was assayed in 1924. She is engraved with "W Hackworthy" on the front and "EXETER WHIST LEAGUE, EXETER POST OFFICE, Winners Div. II, 1924-25"
The Albert chain is 395mm long and the Albertina 170mm. Combined they make a necklace of 570mm long. Both pieces are in very good antique condition. What a beautiful, unique wear everyday necklace.
