1946 Sterling Silver Engraved Bangle

Gorgeous vintage bangle made in 1946.  Fashioned in sterling silver with beautiful hand engraving.   

English in origin, with a push-in tongue and groove closure, which is nice and secure.  She was made by Smith and Ewen of Frederick Street Birmingham UK and was assayed in Chester (UK) in 1946.  A beautifully made bangle, she is oval shaped and the edges have been rolled to give her strength.

The bangle is in very good vintage condition, she only has some very minor scratching and dings.  Her hinge and clasp are in good condition and she has a safety chain for additional security. 

This beautiful bangle looks amazing worn with other bracelets, both vintage and modern.  She is an amazing wear everyday signature piece.

Dimensions:  60mm internally by 54mm, giving an internal circumference of 179mm and 20mm wide, 6mm deep

Size:  Will fit a wrist smaller than a 170mm (17cm) circumference

Hallmarks:  "S&P" for the maker, "N" for 1937, lion for sterling silver and an anchor for Birmingham.
